The Maldives on Wednesday reported 172 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), 66 positive cases were recorded from the Greater Male' Region while 106 cases were reported from the atolls, including resorts. This increases the archipelago's tally to 72,466. While 4,362 cases are active at this time, 41 people are currently hospitalized.
No COVID-19 deaths were announced over the past 24 hours. The country's toll is at 207.
