The Maldives on Thursday reported 212 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), 52 positive cases were recorded from the Greater Male' Region while 159 cases were reported from the atolls, including resorts. This increases the archipelago's tally to 72,678. While 4,262 cases are active at this time, 38 people are currently hospitalized.
One COVID-19 death was announced over the past 24 hours. The country's toll is at 208.
