The Maldives on Friday reported 266 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), 41 positive cases were recorded from the Greater Male' Region while 113 cases were reported from the atolls, including resorts. An additional 112 cases were reported from islands under development. This increases the archipelago's tally to 72,944.
While 4,295 cases are active at this time, 31 people are currently hospitalized. No COVID-19 deaths were announced over the past 24 hours, and the country's toll remains at 208.
