The Maldives on Friday reported 143 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), 36 positive cases were recorded from the Greater Male' Region while 112 cases were reported from the atolls, including resorts. Five cases were reported from islands under development. This increases the archipelago's tally to 74,074.
While 3,359 cases are active at this time, 23 people are currently hospitalized. Three COVID-19 deaths were announced over the last 24 hours, and the country's toll remains at 213.
