The Maldives on Sunday reported 78 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), 28 positive cases were recorded from the Greater Male' Region while 50 cases were reported from the atolls, including 16 cases from resorts. This increases the archipelago's tally to 75,071.
While 2,496 cases are active at this time, 18 people are currently hospitalized. One COVID-19 death was announced over the last 24 hours after ten consecutive days with no deaths, increasing the country's toll to 214.
