PCR testing services are now available in Fuvahmulah City.
Managing Director of Fuvahmulah Atoll Hospital, Ahmed Saeed said a PCR machine was installed at the hospital on June 18. 80 samples have been tested by the hospital thus far.
Until now, COVID-19 testing was carried out in Fuvahmulah by sending collected samples to Addu City or Male City. 819 people have tested positive from Fuvahmulah thus far, with 4 cases identified over the past 24 hours. The island has been under the Health Protection Agency (HA)'s monitoring mechanisms since April.
