The Maldives on Saturday recorded 139 positive cases of COVID-19.
According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), out of the 5,238 samples tested over the past 24 hours, 27 positive cases were recorded from the Greater Male' Region while 96 cases were reported from the atolls. 16 cases were reported from operational resorts. This increases the archipelago's tally to 80,678.
While 1,683 cases are active at this time, 11 people are currently hospitalized. One COVID-19 death was announced over the last 24 hours, increasing the country's toll to 226. The most recent COVID-19 deaths were recorded at 6:30 pm on Saturday in GDh. Thinadhoo.
