COVID-19: Daily cases above 100 for 20 consecutive days

The Maldives on Saturday registered 106 COVID-19 cases. This is the 20th consecutive day where the daily number of cases have remained above 100.

According to HPA, out of the 5,589 samples tested over the past 24 hours, 34 cases were identified from Male' City while 60 cases were from the atolls. An additional 11 cases were reported from operational resorts, increasing the archipelago's tally to 82,578.

While 80,374 recoveries have been recorded to date, 2,170 cases are active at this time. Out of these, 18 patients are hospitalized. The death toll is 227.
