A physical altercation took place in southernmost Addu City on Friday night, the second such attack over the past 24 hours.
According to Maldives Police Service, two people were driving a motorcycle when they were attacked using a sharp object. The police received reports of the incident around 08:05 pm on Friday, they said. A 27-year-old male and a 23-year-old female were injured in the incident.
The police are investigating the case.
Earlier on Friday, a man in Addu City was assaulted using a sharp object, near the flat area. Videos of the incident show an additional person injured during the altercation.
