The Maldives recorded a new COVID-19 death on Monday.
According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), an 54-year-old Maldivian male admitted at Hulhumale' Medical Facility passed away at 02:40 am. This is the 232nd COVID-19 death in the Maldives, and the first death this month.
After a devastating wave of infections, the Maldives' COVID-19 situation has improved, and the number of cases being recorded has significantly declined. However, five deaths were recorded in September.
