The Finance Ministry is seeking a party to build two schools in Hulhumale.
This is the second time the ministry has issued an announcement seeking contractors for the project. The first announcement was issued in December 2020, however, a new announcement was issued on Tuesday as the initial announcement did not receive an adequate response.
The Finance Ministry wishes to carry out the design and build of two schools in Hulhumale' Phase II under contractor finance basis. Bidding is open for both local and foreign companies. Bidding will open on November 17.
The number of families moving to Hulhumale Phase II is increasing as the Hiyaa social housing units have been handed over to its recipients. The government has decided to build 14 schools in Phase II, and the construction of some schools, including private international schools, have already been awarded to companies.
