A new school is being constructed in the Phase II of reclaimed suburbs Hulhumale’.
An agreement was signed between the Education Ministry and Amin Construction Pvt Ltd for the construction of Salahuddin School in Hulhumale at a special ceremony held at the Education Ministry on Sunday. The agreement was signed by State Minister of Education Ahmed Riyaz on behalf of the Maldives government while Director of Amin Construction, Mohamed Irfan signed the agreement on behalf of the contractor.
According to the Education Ministry, the MVR 118 million project is to be completed within 390 days, and is expected to reach completion by March next year.
Although the construction of Salahuddin School was included under 2020’s PSIP budget, the project was delayed due to COVID-19. The ministry has previously stated that the school can accommodate upto 1,000 students.
