The Maldives has recorded an additional COVID-19 death.
According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), a 72-year-old local female admitted at the Hulhumale' Medical Facility passed away at 10:57 am on Saturday. This is the 234th COVID-19 death in the Maldives, and comes a little over 24-hours after a COVID-19 death was recorded in Addu City.
After a devastating wave of infections, the COVID-19 situation in the Maldives has improved significantly. A record low of seven positive cases were reported from Male' City over the past 24 hours.
