B. Kudarikilu's Coastal Protection project has been handed over to MT Hojgaard Pvt. Ltd.
The agreements were signed at a ceremony held at the Planning Ministry on Thursday. Permanent Secretary of the Planning Ministry, Zeeniya Ahmed Hameed signed the agreement on behalf of the ministry while MT Hogard's Senior Project Manager Jorgen Feldborg signed the document on behalf of the contractor.
The project value is MVR 14.7 million. The scope of the project include the construction of three 150-meter breakwaters on the island's eastern side, and another 150-meter breakwater. It also includes beach filling on the eastern and southern side of the island. The project must be completed within 180 days.
MT Hojgaard is already constructing B. Kudarikilu harbor.
