Maldives' COVID-19 toll reaches 246

The Maldives on Tuesday recorded a new COVID-19 death.

According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), an 84-year old Maldivian male admitted at the Hulhumale Medical Facility passed away at 11:55 am on Tuesday. This is the 246th COVID-19 death in the Maldives.

After a significant decline in positive cases, the numbers have started increasing over the past weeks. 160 new cases were recorded over the past 24 hours, with 25 cases in the Greater Male' Region and 135 cases in inhabited islands and operational resorts. The country's tally is 89,126.
