Maldives record 248th COVID-19 death

The Maldives recorded an additional COVID-19 death early Wednesday.

According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), a 75-year-old local female admitted at the Hulhumale Medical Facility passed away at 02:01 am. This is the 248th COVID-29 death in the Maldives and the fourth death this month.

After a significant improvement in the Maldives' COVID-19 situation, the numbers have started increasing once again. 118 new cases were recorded over the past 24 hours, increasing the country's tally to 90,117.
