The Maldives recorded two COVID-19 deaths on Monday morning.
According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), a 54-year-old local female receiving treatment at Noonu Atoll Hospital passed away at 02:00 am. The second death was recorded at 10:45 am at Hulhumale Medical Facility, where a 90-year-old local female succumbed to the illness.
The new deaths increase the Maldives' toll to 250.
The number of patients who are admitted for treatment has decreased over the past weeks. Currently, 12 COVID-19 patients are admitted at medical facilities. While the Maldives' tally is 91,464, the number of active cases at this time is 1,769.
