Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has appointed Ibrahim Siyad Gasim to its board. Siyad is the son of the owner of the Villa Group and Jumhooree Party leader, Gasim Ibrahim.
Appointments are made to government-owned companies' boards when the President's Office forwards the name to the Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB). PCB confirmed Siyad was appointed to MACL board.
In addition to Siyad, renowned business tycoon Mohamed Umar Manik, Ibrahim Nooraddeen, Dr. Ibrahim Mahfooz, Aishath Arusha, and Ahmed Imaan Moosa are on MACL's board. Mohamed Umar Manik chairs the board.
