Applications are now open for those interested in securing the Jumhooree Party ticket to contest the upcoming parliamentary elections.
An announcement by JP said party members interested in contesting the parliamentary election and meeting the requirements for parliament membership can apply for the ticket. Applications are open until 2:00 pm on the 26th of this month.
The announcement further said that the forms and relevant documents submitted by the candidates will be evaluated by a committee determined by the JP Council. The confirmation of the JP ticket will be determined following a thorough evaluation.
The JP has previously held discussions with the opposing Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) and the ruling Peoples' National Congress (PNC) regarding working together in the parliamentary elections.
