Kaashidhoo MP Abdulla Jabir has been arrested.
If any parliamentarians are arrested, Maldives Police Service is mandated to inform the arrest to the Parliament Secretariat. While an official from the Parliament Secretariat has confirmed Jabir's arrest, he did not provide further details regarding the matter.
'We have been informed by the police that MP Jabir has been arrested. We do not have further details at this time,' the official said.
