Capt. Retd. Ihsan leaves MNP

Captain Retired Ali Ihsan has left the Maldives National Party (MNP).

Ihsan joined the MNP in August last year. The party's most senior members, the party's President and Dhangethi MP Mohamed Nazim and Thimarafushi MP Abdullah Riyaz, are close friends of Ihsan. While Ihsan has now left the party, he has not disclosed the reason for his decision.

After joining the MNP, Ihsan had said in a statement that he joined the party in the hope of working more extensively for the country. There are opportunities for young people in the MNP, he had said.

Although Ihsan spent ten months as an MNP member, he has not been seen taking part in MNP activities. Ihsan was not present in the event held to open an MNP office in his hometown, S. Feydhoo.

Ihsan is one of the few people in the world who has completed the highest level of military training. He is the son of former Feydhoo MP Ibrahim Didi.
