The construction of new classrooms in R. Ungoofaaru has been handed over to a contractor.
Ungoofaaru School has been facing space constraints for several years. In efforts to find a solution to the matter, the Education Ministry contracted the construction of eight classrooms to Neksar Projects Pvt Ltd. The contract was signed between the ministry and the contractor at a ceremony held Monday.
One year has been granted to the contractor to complete the work. The project is valued at MVR 10.1 million.
Since taking office, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has worked hard to address space constraints and increase the space available in schools.
