The foundation stone of 100 housing units has been laid in Lh. Hinnavaru.
The construction of 100 housing units in Hinnavaru was awarded to Donbez Pvt Ltd in July last year for MVR 84 million. The company has been given a one-year deadline to complete the project.
The foundation stone for the project was laid by Planning Ministry's State Minister, Akram Kamaluddin, Hinnavaru MP Jeehan Mahmood, and island council members at a ceremony held in Hinnavaru on Sunday.
The project includes the construction of 50 two-storey row houses of 700 sqft and 50 single-storey housing units of 1,000 sqft. Each housing unit will have three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a living room, a kitchen, a dining room, laundry, and a store room. A park and vehicle parking zone will also be established at the site.
