State Minister of Environment Ali Solih has been transferred to the Transport Ministry.
The President's Office confirmed to AVAS that Ali Solih had been appointed as the Transport Ministry's State Minister.
Ali was first appointed as the State Minister of Technology in the government formed when President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih took office. However, the ministry was later dissolved, and the work of the agency was transferred to the Environment Ministry. Ali was a State Minister at the Environment Ministry until last Thursday.
Ali has a good rapport with the media and journalists. It is believed that Ali was transferred to the Transport Ministry to improve the image of the ministry by working closely with the media.
Ali is also the Chief Spokesperson of the coalition partner, Jumhooree Party (JP).
With Ali's appointment, the Transport Ministry now has a total of two state ministers.
