The government has awarded contracts to construct 100 housing units in M. Kolhufushi.
Rasheed Carpentry and Construction Pvt Ltd (RCC) was awarded the contract at a ceremony held at the Planning Ministry on Tuesday. The ministry's Director General, Ahmed Vishan Naseem, signed the agreement on behalf of the government, while RCC's Projects Director, Adam Raheem, signed on behalf of the company.
RCC will design and build the housing units under the project. Each housing unit will have three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a living room, a kitchen, a dining room, laundry, and a store room.
The project, funded from the PSIP budget approved for this year, is to be completed within one year. The cost of the project is MVR 117.8 million.
