The Planning Ministry has opened applications for those who are eligible for the government's land owner 'Binveriyaa Scheme' but did not receive land to apply for land jointly.
The administration released the preliminary list of land plot recipients for the 'Binveriya' Housing Scheme on Monday. The list, published in the Government Gazette, includes the names of those shortlisted for the scheme, finalized after evaluation. The list includes 10,314 recipients, including people who applied jointly and as separate individuals who would receive land plots under the scheme.
Of the 19,858 applications received under the Binveriya scheme, 12,794 were eligible. Planning Minister Mohamed Aslam Monday announced that applicants who applied separately from qualified candidates would also be allowed to submit joint applications, following a decision made by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
As per the decision, the ministry has now opened applications to apply for land jointly, with the deadline set for July 15. Only those who are in the “eligible, may apply jointly” status of the land recipients will be allowed to participate as joint applicants at this stage.
The ministry instructed applications to be submitted through the 'Gedhoruveriyaa' portal. The ministry said the application would be displayed upon logging in to the portal, and if an individual is eligible to submit a joint request, they will see a section dedicated to submitting a request. The policy and procedure for submitting a joint request can also be viewed through the portal.
