The Hiyaa Park, situated near the Hiyaa Flats in Hulhumale' Phase II, was officially inaugurated on July 26, coinciding with Independence Day celebrations.
The event featured various activities and entertainment tailored for children, complemented by live music performances.
The park's development was carried out by the Road Development Corporation (RDC) under a contract with Urbanco. Children residing in the Hiyaa neighborhood were given the opportunity to participate in painting the park, showcasing their artistic talent.
Prior to the park's establishment, the absence of such a recreational space in the Hiyaa neighborhood had been a significant concern for the flat dwellers, especially given the considerable number of children residing in the area. Urbanco said the opening of the park provides an effective solution to the concerns of the public.
