Urbanco has established a maximum building height of six stories for properties allocated from Hulhumale' under the government's Binveriyaa Project.
According to the building guidelines issued by Urbanco, the maximum permissible height for structures on Binveriyaa Project land is 18.5 meters. Urbanco has indicated that while the policy currently allows for six stories, this maximum height may be subject to change.
Urbanco said while the maximum number of stories permitted to be built in Hulhumale residential plots is in the process of being changed to ten stories, the necessary administrative steps are being taken in collaboration with the relevant ministries.
According to the policies, if the height of the building is more than 15 meters or if it is five stories high, the building must include an elevator. If a terrace is placed on the sixth floor of the building, the floor of the terrace shall not be higher than 18.5 meters from the pavement level.
