Former Vice President Ahmed Adeeb

My cases are not carried out justly: Adeeb

Former Vice President Ahmed Adeeb has stated that based on the speed of the hearings of the multiple cases filed against him, he was certain of the way the cases were proceeding.

Speaking in today's hearing of the case, Adeeb said based on the way the case was proceeding it was evident that the cases were proceeding without any justice.

"The cases are proceeding without any justice, towards a certain direction," Adeeb said.

Adeeb had questioned the Judge on why the cases were being expedited through the judicial justice system.

Presiding Judge Ibrahim Ali said the cases were scheduled closely as Ramadan was nearing and that conducting the cases in Ramadan was difficult. He added that extended remand period periods were a reason why cases were expedited through the system. The Judge added that there was no influence in expediting cases.
