Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure has decided to assemble a unit dedicated to oversee China-Maldives Friendship Bridge - the Bridge Project Management Unit (BPMU). The ministry has also announced looking to hire an engineer needed for the unit.
While Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure is assembling BMPU, there have been numerous allegations regarding the pace of the ongoing bridge project. The ministry has recently revealed that they are satisfied with the speed of the project and believe there will be no delays in the unveiling of China-Maldives Friendship Bridge in 2018.
In an announcement made today by Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure, proposal submissions for the position of an engineer in BPMU will now be open to public.
