The Meteorological Center (MET) says that the current raining all over the Maldives is due the the southwest monsoon, and that it is predicted to rain for the next two days.
The assistant meteorologist of MET Hussain Waheed says that it will rain heaviest on the central atolls, but that rain will be experienced all over the Maldives. And that it is predicted to rain heavily in all the atolls between L.Atoll and Lh.Atoll.
He said the seas will be stormy all over the Maldives and that this will also be more severe in the central atolls.
MET office has advised travelers to be cautious of the weather.
