Humans Rights Commission of Maldives (HRCM) on Thursday became the 38th state institution to join the 'employees scheme' of the Hajj Corporation.
This scheme is organized by the Maldives Hajj Corporation for employees of government and state institutions to make the process of Hajj or Umrah pilgrimage easier.
The Hajj Corporation said that it was working on a system including those who have joined the scheme, and to give a portal for employees to register themselves into the scheme, also making it possible to make payments through the portal.
This portal will be made public next month.
The Hajj Corporation has reduced the price on the Umrah package during March next year. The price for the pilgrimage on March will be MVR 22,965, an amount much smaller than the normal rate of MVR 25,965. Other special discounts have also been offered.
