Customs has held a computer based training program for the forensic department of the Maldives Police Service.
The program was organised to provide information to the participants through computers on various fields. A total of 109 police officers have taken part in this training program.
At a special ceremony held at Customs on Monday to award certificates to those who took part in the program, Deputy Police Commissioner Ahmed Saudee said that while both organisations play an important role in law enforcement, they must learn to cooperate better, noting that it was key to properly implement the law.
The computer training programs have been held by Customs for various entities since the year 2011, such as the Immigration Authority. Over a 1000 people have taken part in these programs thus far.
