A total of 45 local students have been listed in the international top achievers' list for attaining top grades in GCE A'Level examinations in 2017.
During the top-achievers' awards held on Monday evening at Dharubaaruge, a total of 205 students were awarded with top-achievers' plaque for entering national top-10 in A'Level examinations.
In 2017's advanced level examinations 47 Maldives students have scored A grade in five or more subjects while 45 students have entered the coveted international top-achievers' list. Six of them have been listed at first place in the international top-ten list.
Education Minister Dr. Aishath Shiham congratulated all top achievers in Monday's ceremony. She also noted that in 2017 the most number of students have achieved international top-ten from Maldives.
According to education minister this significant increase in top-achievers number is a clear indication of Maldives education sector's development.
She also had requested from the top achievers to stay true to their commitment of well achieving students and called to serve the country post education.
