Housing Minister Dr. Mohamed Muizzu on Thursday announced the official name of China-Maldives Friendship Bridge (CMFB).
Minister Dr. Muizzu made the announcement through Twitter. The first ever bridge constructed linking two islands of Maldives has been named 'Sinamale' Bridge.'
The main bridge structure has already been assembled with airport island Hulhule' linked with Maldives capital Male' City on July 9.
Commenced during the administration of incumbent President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom back in December 30, 2015. The bridge construction has been the country's most notable infrastructural development in decades.
