Crude oil attack on ruling party campaign venue

A Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) rally camp at Laamu atoll Fonadhoo has been 'attacked' with crude oil.

The camp situated at the constituency of ruling party deputy leader Abdul Raheem Abdulla was attacked with crude oil sometime around Friday night. Several chairs and the walls of the camp were doused in crude oil.

Meanwhile ruling party's secretary general Dr. Abdulla Khaleel has accused opposition for the act.

Dr. Khaleel criticized the opposition taunting them not to expect election win using fear and intimidation tactics.

Earlier unknown assailants had set ablaze at 'Rumaalu-2', a prominent camp of ruling party at Maldives capital Male' City. Maldives Police has been probing the arson attack though no developments have been disclosed to public.
