Maldives Customs Service seize two kilograms of drugs from a 24-year old local man traveling from neighboring India.
Customs revealed that the man arrived at Velana International Airport on Wednesday, and was checked by customs officials due to suspicious behavior.
Upon investigation, a packet containing a brown fluid of what was suspected to be drugs were discovered in his luggage.
Laboratory investigations revealed that the liquid was a type of drug known as Hashish oil.
The suspect and the seized drugs are currently under police custody, and the case is being investigated further by the police.
