A foreign expatriate worker has fallen from the second floor of a building under construction.
According to the police, the man fell from the building situated somewhere between Majeedhee Magu and Rahdhebaimagu around 10:45 am this morning.
He is currently being treated at state-run Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital. The hospital has not disclosed any details regarding his condition or the extent of his injuries. The police are currently investigating the cause of his fall.
Such incidents have occurred in the past, with some ending in death. Foreign construction workers seldom take the necessary the safety precautions while working in construction.
