Maldives Customs Service have revealed that 28.49 kg of drugs have been confiscated thus far this year.
Customs revealed the statistic while giving information regarding a drug bust involving a Bangladeshi man who attempted to enter Maldives with 3.69 kg of drugs.
Customs have caught several drug traffickers under their new efforts to prevent the entry of drugs into the Maldives via air.
