Indian authorities to release detained fishing boat

Foreign Ministry has revealed that the Maldivian fishing boat 'Ambaree' which was detained by the Indian Coastguard will be released sometime Monday.

Foreign Ministry said after their efforts to release the detained boat, India's External Affairs Ministry has informed the government that the boat and its crew members will be released.

While it is prohibited for fishing boats to venture into the economic zone of foreign nations, the ministry urged vessels and their owners to take caution not to trespass into foreign waters.
