The construction of five classrooms and a staff room in Haa Dhaalu Kurinbee School has been awarded to a local construction company for MVR 4 million.
The project was awarded to "V-Ava Investment" at a ceremony held at Ministry of Education on Wednesday.
State Minister Ahmed Riyaz of the Ministry of Education and Office Manager of V-Ava Investment Fathimath Laisa Latheef signed the agreement.
The building comprising of five classrooms and a staff room is to be completed within a period of one year. The project is funded under the ministry's PSIP budget. This year, a total of 20 projects will be awarded under the PSIP budget.
Ministry of Education has previously awarded several other projects to V-Ava Investment. Haa Dhaalu Kulhudhuhfushi School's new building and Alifu Alifu Thohdoo and Raa Hulhudhuhfaru School's Multiplex Halls were all awarded to the company.
