Maldives Customs Service has seized a large number of drugs from a Bangladeshi man arriving in Maldives.
Customs said pills suspected to be drugs were discovered in the luggage of the 28-year old man who arrived at Velana International Airport from Bangladesh.
While 2,339 pills were found in his luggage, the pills tested positive for 'amphetamine' upon initial testing. The street value of the drugs are around MVR 233,900, said Customs.
The drugs are now under police custody, said Customs.
