German tourist dies in diving accident

A German tourist holidaying at Safari Island Resort in Aa. atoll passed away in a diving accident.

Police said they received reports of the incident around 1525 hrs on Wednesday. The tourist was taken to ADh. Mahibadhoo Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A British tourist passed away earlier this week due to drowning. Authorities have always cautioned to be vigilant when in water to prevent tragic accidents.
