The govt, awarded contract to design land reclamation of two islands

The government has awarded the contract to design and conduct Environmental Impact Assesment (EIA) for land reclamation of R.Alifushi and Dhuvaafaru of the atoll.

According to the Ministry of Planning and Urban Development, the contract is awarded to Land and Marine Environmental Group Private Limited for 51 days.

The Ministry said that it would cost MVR 272,208 for the work.

The contract awarding agreement is signed on behalf of the ministry by ministry’s Director Fathimath Shana Farooq and on behalf of Land and Marine Environmental Group's, the company’s Director Hussain Simad.
