Nine COVID-19 patients in the Maldives have recovered from the illness.
National Emergency Operation Centre (NEOC)'s Spokesperson Mohamed Mabrook Azeez said nine additional people who tested positive for the virus have now made full recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries recorded in the Maldives to 29.
Mabrook said 751 patients are currently in treatment, and two infected patients are abroad. The patients who made full recoveries include 16 locals and 13 foreigners.
785 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the Maldives, out of which 256 people are locals and 528 people are foreigners. Mabrook said 5,180 people have been identified as contacts of all positive cases recorded thus far, and 291 locations are on monitoring status. While 719 people are currently in isolation facilities, 1521 people are quarantined at the moment.
