All samples collected from N. Manadhoo tested negative for COVID-19, the National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC) has revealed.
Nine samples were initially collected from Manadhoo after an 80-year old woman from the island tested positive for COVID-19. All nine samples had tested positive. More samples were later collected from the island in connection to the cases. All samples, reported to be about 80, tested negative for COVID-19, said NEOC during its press briefing held late Friday.
The elderly woman who first tested positive for COVID-19 from Manadhoo passed away on Thursday, a few days after the NEOC had pronounced her as recovered from COVID-19.
