The Health Protection Agency (HPA) on Thursday announced 56 new cases of COVID-19.
According to HPA, the new cases are of 18 locals, 35 Bangladeshi nationals and three Indians. The new cases bring the total number of cases identified in the Maldives to 1513.
The number of recoveries recorded to date is 242, and the country has recorded five COVID-19 related fatalities thus far.
