The Maldives on Sunday recorded 19 new cases of COVID-19.
According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), the new cases are of 7 Maldivians and 12 foreigners. This brings the total number of positive cases to 2,324.
HPA also announced 48 new recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,911. The number of active cases is 400, and 11 patients have been hospitalized.
48,603 samples have been tested for COVID-19 thus far, out of which 800 samples were tested over the past 24 hours. The archipelago has recorded 8 COVID-19 related fatalities to date.
Authorities said 311 individuals are currently at isolation facilities while 226 individuals are at quarantine facilities.
