Daily COVID-19 stats: Tally at 2,305 with 22 new cases

The Maldives on Saturday recorded 22 new cases of COVID-19.

According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), the new cases are of 4 Maldivians and 18 foreigners. This brings the total number of positive cases to 2,305.

HPA also announced 12 new recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,875. The number of active cases is 414..

47,741 samples have been tested for COVID-19 thus far, out of which 850 samples were tested over the past 24 hours. The archipelago has recorded 8 COVID-19 related fatalities to date.

Authorities said 310 individuals are currently at isolation facilities while 220 individuals are at quarantine facilities.
