The Maldives recorded 22 positive cases of COVID-19 on Thursday.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) said 9 locals and 10 Bangladeshi nationals newly tested positive for the virus. This brings the total number of cases to 1872. The number of positive cases have been declining over the past two days, with 9 cases on Wednesday and 12 on Wednesday.
HPA also announced four new recoveries. The total number of recoveries is now at 648. The Maldives has recorded seven COVID-19 related deaths thus far.
